Scott Do you mean the optical output of the mac? If you're not using that, just get a HOSA ODL-312, they are about $100 and will convert the optical SPDIF out on the mac to AES EBU. I've been using one for about 5 years and it works great.

The only catch is depending on the computer you have it hooked to, you may need to make that particular computer your master clock.
