Should your rns 510 navigation behave erratically you can try resetting the system.To perform a system reset, press the Setup button, select Systems, then Factory Settings. Then select All and press reset. There will be a confirmation, select Reset once again to continue.
Once the system has reset another confirmation will appear, just press ok. Your rns 510 has now been reset.If the navigation is still not working properly you can perform a soft reset. This can be done by simultaneously holding down the left and right track change buttons and the I or star button. Keep them held until the screen switches off and then you can release. The unit will display the vw logo and welcome message before the display goes off once again. Don't worry - you can start and stop access for the external devices at any time in the Infotainment system.
